What Are the Hours of Operation?
Both office hours are open 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday.
What Insurance Does VFS Accept?
We accept all Medicaid MCOs and self-pay.
What is the Process for Starting Services?
The three-step process is to start services,
- Submit a referral
- Assessment/Authorization Request
- Start Services : Services are based on approval. If not approved, recommendations for a lower level of care will be provided.
Can I Be in Multiple Services at VFS?
Yes, it is important for us to provide integrated services to individuals with substance use and mental health disorders.
What Times Are IOP and PHP Sessions?
We offer morning and afternoon IOP sessions. One from 8:30 AM to 11:30 AM and 1:30 PM to 4:30 PM Monday through Thursday. On Fridays, we offer groups from 8:30 AM to 11:30 AM.
PHP sessions are 8:30 AM to 1:30 PM Monday through Thursday.
Does VFS Provide Transportation to IOP and PHP Sessions?
We will assist individuals currently enrolled in our center-based services (IOP and partial hospitalization) with setting up transportation through their insurance. If you have missed your transportation, please call (804) 313-6767, Ext. 529.
Are There IOP and PHP Sessions During the Holidays?
We strive to maintain operations during all major holidays. If there is a closure, we will have staff on standby for emergencies.
Do You Provide Wrap-Around Services?
Yes, care coordination is a component of each service.
Do We Provide MAT?
We work with community partners that offer same-day appointments.
How Long Does IOP Service Last?
IOP is a structured 13-week program, depending on medical necessity.
Do IOP and PHP Sessions Provide Meals and Drinks?
We will provide some light refreshments. In addition, we also offer a vending machine.
Can I Bring My Cell Phone and Laptop to the Program With Me?
Cell phones are permitted, however other electronic devices are not.
Can My Family Be a Part of My Treatment?
Yes, family reunification sessions are held according to individualized treatment plans.
Will I Receive Help in Obtaining and Maintaining Housing?
Virginia Family Services has solid community resources to refer you to.
How Do I Stay Focused on Recovery After the Program is Completed?
You will be linked to our step-down alumni support group. In addition, you will be provided with a list of NA/AA meetings.
